Into the Wild

Going “into the wild” isn’t necessarily about escaping civilization or disappearing into the wilderness. It’s about stepping outside the familiar—leaving behind the routines, expectations, and comfortable version of yourself you already know.

It means trying something new before you know exactly how it will turn out. You travel somewhere you’ve never been, learn a new skill, ride a trail that intimidates you, pick up a camera, meet strangers, take the road you’ve never taken, or simply say yes to an experience that pushes you beyond your comfort zone. In those moments, you discover parts of yourself that everyday life may never reveal.

Going into the wild is really a journey inward disguised as a journey outward. You may think you’re searching for a new place, but along the way you find courage, curiosity, resilience, creativity, and a better understanding of who you are. Sometimes, you have to get a little lost in the world to find yourself.
